What our members have to say...

|
"I am an average Joe now hopefully on the way to a successful business. Without an investor, I would have nothing and one thing Irish Investment Network will do for you is get you in contact with investors. This is about as real as you will get from a testimonial. If your idea is good enough, you will get investors on this site. All the best." |

Justin Bieber Starts Up Investing his Money as Startup Investor
|

|
He's got lots. So why not invest it? The Financial Post says diminutive pop star Justin Bieber is investing big wades of money. With Steve Nash?
Canada's Financial Post is a pretty highbrow newspaper, more tuned toward those involved in the stock market and the world of finances and politics than those who enjoy reading about pop music. It's certainly not aimed at teenage fans of Justin Bieber, the Canadian singer who made it big in the U.S., and elsewhere.
But where there's money, and Justin Bieber has money, there's a story and the Post ran a story on Bieber on September 6, 2011. Post reporter Alyson Shontell uncovered interesting financial news about the Biebs, news that arguably shows he's thinking already of his future.
In a video of Beiber playing basketball with fellow Canadian and two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash that hit the internet recently there are others playing in the pick-up game. One, Shontell writes, is a guy by the name of Mike Duda; Duda is an investment guy, and by some accounts a good one. He's the one wearing blue in the b-ball clip.
Justin Bieber Invests Money in Business
Duda puts money in projects with Nash and together they have a company, Consigliere Brand Capital. Something called a startup investor, Duda creates or gets involved with companies that come along in a hurry, put together money fast and find a business venture to invest in, often a new company in the growth and technology industries.
What this has to do with Justin Bieber is that he is getting in the starup investment business, the story says. The Post didn't have details about how much he's investing but is sure he's making the leap toward the investment basket. Whether Duda and Nash's company, mostly comprised of athletes, are working with Bieber and his money, or simply advising him, wasn't stated.
"Why would Justin Bieber spend the afternoon horsing around with investors?" Shontell wrote. "We're guessing it's because the singer is investing in startups. In fact, we know he is investing in startups. We heard about a stealth New York startup Bieber invested in last week. We're not at liberty to announce which startup just yet."
Justin Bieber: Teen Entrepreneur
Between May of 2010 and May of 2011 Justin Bieber made $53 million. A tidy sum and if you've got that sitting around you're gonna wanna do something with it. So he's investing. Startup investing can have its risk but it seems Bieber figures it's a way to grow his money.
So it is now Justin Bieber the singer, songwriter, musician, actor, charity worker, decent basketball player, startup investor/teen entrepreneur and subject of a story in the high-brow Financial Post.
